Setargew Kenaw
Dr. Setargew Kenaw Fantaw is a Research Fellow at Makerere Institute of Social Research, Makerere University. He is also an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He was previously editor-in-chief of the Ethiopian Journal of the Social Sciences and Humanities. He is the author of Technology-Culture Dialogue: Cultural and Sociotechnical Appropriation of Mobile Phones in Ethiopia (2016) and Knowledge Production and Spiritual Entrepreneurship in Zar: A Study of Spirit Mediumship in Northeastern Ethiopia (2011). Published on classical and contemporary African education, African religions, cultural translation of technology, and philosophy of science, his current research interest includes political theory and decolonizing higher education.
